Costs:

Based on its duration and scope, the initial consultation will cost between € 200 and € 250. This also includes enquiries by phone or via e-mail later on.
In case of a future representation, this amount will be credited to the representation fee.
The counselling is not based on time as it is the case in other countries.*
(Thus, no matter how long the consultation takes, the price remains the same).

As for the divorce, the costs are based on the monetary value in dispute and are determined by law.

Since July 1, 2006, lawyer's fees can be freely negotiated. An agreement on fees is convenient for

• high earners
• divorces with an uncertain outcome (where it is still unclear whether there will be a lawsuit and on what).

For proceedings outside the jurisdiction of the Frankfurt Regional Court, travel costs and a daily allowance will be added.

I will tell you how to reduce the costs with internal regulations.

If both partners agree, the divorce may possibly be carried out with only one lawyer. This will save you almost half the money.
